Things to do with the kids this Summer
It’s that time of year again, the summer holidays have hit, and you are looking for things to do with the kids. Here at Kilcamb Lodge, we welcome family holidays, so have some great ideas of things to do with the kids this summer to help you out…

The scenery and wildlife are here all year round, and some of the best weather for Sea-kayaking is outside the main summer season so, whatever your level of skill, there are plenty of paddling opportunities; open crossings to remote headlands and islands, visiting rocky outcrops and sandy beaches or just exploring in the shelter of sea lochs.
Home to a spectacular aquarium as well as Scotland's leading Seal Hospital, you can journey through over 60 marine displays and get up and close to majestic sharks, graceful rays and enchanting seahorses. Meet the adorable seals and hear the touching stories behind their rescues.
Look out for rare Red Squirrels and other local wildlife as you explore the Nutkins Nature Trail.With fun talks, feeding of the creatures, kids quiz trail and the Forest Adventure Play Area, there's plenty for the whole family to enjoy whatever the weather.
Found in Fort William is one of the largest leisure facilities in the Highlands. This friendly facility boasts a 25 m swimming pool with a flume, sauna, steam room and solaria, two glass backed squash courts, a 15 ft indoor bouldering wall, cardio gym and showering facilities for climbers and walkers.
You don't need to worry about not having the right equipment. Lochaber Leisure Centre hires out swimming costumes and trunks, towels, squash and tennis rackets. All you need is yourself and a pair of light-soled sports shoes if you intend playing on the squash court or using the fitness suite.
The Ardnamurchan boasts beautiful beaches perfect for family time with a bucket and spade, including Ardtoe beach and Sanna.
Golf courses are a perfect way to spend a day teaching your children the art of golf, or simply to have a while away from them! The Ardnamurchan hosts some incredible golf courses. Take your pick!

With a whole host of cycle route, you and your family can spend some quality time getting fit and enjoy the surroundings of the beautiful area.
Offering a wide range of exhilarating activities for everyone throughout Scotland, sessions range from canyoning, coasteering and white-water-rafting to fun yakking, bridge swing, paintball and off-road segways. Canyoning is jumping, abseiling down waterfalls and sliding down natural water flumes. Suitable for people with no prior experience or seasoned canyoneers alike, Vertical Descents has a range of sessions available and trips can be tailored to suit.
If exploring the coastline in a new and exciting way appeals to you, then book yourself a coasteering trip, a combination of rock climbing, canyoning and cliff jumping. White-water-rafting will allow you to visit and experience some of Scotland's wildest rivers. It will enable you to discover landscapes out of reach by normal means and is a must for lovers of adrenaline and teamwork.
White water fun yakking is a unique and exciting way of going down Scotland's finest rivers. Fun yaks are two person inflatable, highly manoeuvrable open canoes. Paintball is a team game with at least four people per side and creates a team spirit whilst developing leadership skills.
